Thursday update: Site was unstable for a while today, sorry about that folks. If you see a comment missing I’ve probably copied it and am restoring it. Probably best to wait ’till Friday to make comments.
What we’ve done is purchase a Virtual Private Server. This has the capacity and speed for the busy days in winter that sometimes shut down WildSnow.com because of data base failure. The server is super expensive (about 10 times what our previous hosting was costing), but with the support of our advertisers and your encouraging comments we went for it. We hope that by having nearly 100% uptime the server will eventually pay for itself, meanwhile, I’m tied to the whipping post here at WildSnow HQ.
By the way, am heading out to summer Outdoor Retailer show in a few weeks so I can bring you all sorts of take from the temple of backcountry skiing gear.
Thanks for your patience and support.
Lou
