Had a beautiful drive north to Jackson via the Maybell shortcut, still took about 8 hours from Carbondale with some stops and not driving too fast (lots of drill rig traffic). Jackson is maxed out with the snowmobile hillclimb world championships, along with the usual tourists and skiers — and of course the randonnee racers doing the North American championships tomorrow!
I went over and checked out the snowmobile hillclimb scene (they go straight up Snowking ski area). Perhaps a few photos here tomorrow. It’s a hoot but I think I’ll enjoy the ski hill more (grin).
Saw Steve Romeo in the grocery store, he looked chipper — I’ll be he’ll be fast tomorrow. Go Steve!
