Sometimes, April can be one of the better months for backcountry skiing here in Colorado. This one has been pretty good. Got some more today. People are calling it the winter that will not end. Of course, it will. Then we’ll ski corn snow for a few weeks. Ho hum.
Still using next year’s Manaslu 178 with Radical ST binder. All working well, but I sure don’t like reaching down an rotating the binding by hand when I want to go to alpine mode with bindings on. But I do like the flip-up heel lifters; they’re fast and easy. Just thought I’d throw a gear tidbit in there. I’ve grown to like the skis very much, though I’m still feeling like I wouldn’t mind the binding being back a centimeter or so.
