Hi all, I’ve been on a fourteener skiing road trip since past Friday. Didn’t have enough internet access to “road blog,” look for full report sometime later today. Tried a new route on El Diente with Jason Troth, then joined up with the Davenport crew for a fun scrappy (and physically exhausting) ski of Ellingwood in the Sangres. More later.
Chris Davenport launches from the summit of Ellingwood Peak, Sangre De Cristo mountains, Colorado. Blanca Peak in background. The Sangre Sierra Blanca snowpack is nearly zero, but we managed to find a continuous line off Ellingwood. Blanca Peak didn’t have snow from the summit. |
