Headed up to the local Sunlight ski area to check out the early season Colorado snow this morning. Although the ski area had groomed some of the pow in preparation for opening, we managed to find a few runs that remained unscathed. Silky boot-top pow was experienced. Nice to see all the other human powered folks out and about.

Mounting up some Volkl BMT 109 skis this morning. Excited to test them out over the next few months. This morning was a good start.

Lou showing a more accurate representation of the conditions. Nice. One lap wasn’t enough so we made two.
Louie Dawson earned his Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design from Western Washington University in 2014. When he’s not skiing Mount Baker or somewhere equally as snowy, he’s thinking about new products to make ski mountaineering more fun and safe.
