As happens with our blog travelogs, we’ll bounce around a bit timewise due to our “production schedule.” Here is one from a few days ago.
Before the Dynafit press event enters full swing in Switzerland, we get out early for a short tour up around Sulzfluh. The weather is mild and the skin track wanders up the foothills at a gentle angle. Snow is variable, crusty and wind affected but we find lovely pockets of softer snow on northern exposures. We venture just far enough for a few hours of fresh air and views of enticing terrain for the days ahead.

We imagine how lovely it would be to live in one of these high alpine farm houses during the summer.

Terrain west of Sulzfluh Hutte, the rolling topography to right is where you can get in fast laps. It's said to be one of the better corn-snow skiing areas during springtime, and isn't too shabby after a good powder storm. We did the marked summits over the next couple of days.

Sulzfluh Berghutte and surrounding farm houses come into view. This is looking opposite direction from the labeled photo above, as you can see the terrain is abundant for all types of backcountry skiing.
Just a quick trip above the skin-out ski-in hut, warming the legs and the soul.
